EPCOT
The EPCOT CENTER combines the diversity of different cultures presented in the setting of one community like if these different countries were in the same neighborhood. In fact it is Walt Disney's dream of the Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Attracting mainly the adult and intellectually inclined visitors, this theme park offers something for individuals of all ages:
Spaceship Earth : At the Park entrance this is an exhibit on the history of communications; a slow moving vehicle takes the visitors for a gentle ride.
The Seas with Nemo and friends : This is an exploration of the seas, mostly walking through the exhibits; a large aquarium, show and a short ride with the Nemo theme will take you through a colorful reef where you will see all your favorites from finding Nemo.
Turtle Talk with Crush : Interactive experience with Crush from Finding Nemo while riding as kids seat up front. There is an interesting display of stingray viewing in the waiting area.
The Land Pavilion : Exploring our land. Several attractions, Characters meals and food court are the main interests in this Pavilion
Circle of Life : A movie about Simba and friends on the environment and the relationship with the land.
Living with the Land : Take a gentle 14-minute boat ride through this unusual indoor plant growing area.
Then comes the individual countries exhibits, as follows:
France- Impressions de France in the Palais du Cinema takes you to a 200 degree airborne French travelogue movie set through classical music.
Norway : Journey back in time to the old country aboard dragon headed 16 passenger boats.
Canada : Circle Vision 360 film that provides breathtaking views of the countryside.
Wonders of China : Visitors are offered a Circle Vision 360 movie presentation on several aspects of life in China .
Mexico : A Pyramid sits high on the skyline. It is modeled after an Aztec temple of Quetzalcoat , meaning “God of Life” at Teotihuacan represented by huge snake heads along the entrance stairs. Upon entering the building, you pass by a gallery of artifacts from various periods of Mexican history. A formal portico opens up to a colonial Plaza where you experience an evening at a festive marketplace.
Germany : Step into a German village where the sounds of Oktoberfes t fill the air. Monuments to St George the patron saint of soldiers are common throughout Bavaria . The legend of St George is about him slaying the dragon while on a pilgrimage to the Middle East .
Italy : Start by entering St Marks square and going through massive columns. There is a reproduction of the Doges Palace in Venice .
Japan : In the World Showcase Lagoon, the Tonii gate welcomes visitors to Japan . From there, you see the blue-roofed 5-story Goju-no-to pagoda inspired by a shrine built in 700 AD.
Morocco : Epcot's Morocco Pavilion is located between those of France and Japan . The architecture is a recreation of the atmosphere of Morocco with these most famous cities featured: Casablanca , Fez and Marrakech.
United Kingdom is depicted through the architectural styles ranging from 1500 to 1800 throughout Great Britain . The buildings recreated are Victorian, London , Yorkshire Manor, Tudor, Georgian, Hyde Park , Regency and a Shakespearean cottage.
